For three centuries Crimean Tatar light cavalry were the scourge of Eastern Europe . They served as outriders on their Ottoman masters' campaigns but their frequent raids, chiefly to kidnap peasant and townsfolk to sell into slavery, gave them a fearsome reputation. True descendants of their Mongol forebears, they moved fast and far on their light horses but there was nothing 'light' about their bows.

Based upon [catalogue number : SA 3158 bow of the Manchester Archery Collection] originally taken as booty at the defeat of the Ottomans and their allies at the Siege of Vienna in 1683, Paragon Bows new masterpiece 'The Raider' uses the efficiency, flexibility and reliability of modern materials to create a working replica without compromise."
